Andrew Buller Wines

Andrew Buller came to prominence in the '80s as a third generation winemaker for his family’s Rutherglen winery, R.L. Buller & Son. When Buller was sold in '12, Andrew and his wife, Wendy, set about creating their own boutique winery at Cannobie, just outside the Rutherglen town centre. In '23, Andrew was joined by his son, Alex, who has worked vintages in Portugal and New Zealand. Together, father and son intend to concentrate on reds and fortifieds from their Rutherglen vineyard ('83) and are crafting a range of sparkling and lighter table wines produced from fruit at their Indigo Valley vineyard ('86) planted to chardonnay, sauvignon blanc and marsanne, in addition to pinot noir, cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon and merlot. This year, the vineyard’s durif will be grafted over to pinot gris. -JENI PORT
