Our Review

This may be one of the most senior wineries on the Mornington Peninsula but that does not stop it from moving with the times. It has embarked on a serious sustainability program that touches on all aspects of its operations, measuring its carbon footprint in detail, reducing electricity consumption, collecting rainwater and planting strategic cover crops to reduce its need to irrigate. In ’22, Stonier was purchased from Accolade by Circe Wines, owned by 3 local families. In ’24, Julian Grounds (ex-Craggy Range, NZ) took up the role vacated by Justin Purser, who's moved to Beechworth to make wine under his own label. Julian is also a co-owner of the business. -JAMES HALLIDAY
