Zonte’s Footstep was founded by a group of winemakers and wine marketers who decided in '03 that it was time to do their own thing in McLaren Vale. The brand produces an extraordinary varietal range of 26 different wines using the classic northern European varieties of shiraz, viognier, cabernet sauvignon, malbec, pinot noir, sauvignon blanc and chardonnay, as well as the Mediterranean varieties of vermentino, pinot grigio, glera, grenache, sangiovese, lagrein, tempranillo and montepulciano. -JAMES HALLIDAY
