Our Review
Kilikanoon has travelled in the fast lane since winemaker Kevin Mitchell established it in 1997 on the foundation of 6ha of vines he owned with father Mort. With the aid of investors, its 100 000 dozen production comes from 120ha of estate-owned vineyards. A major restructure has been completed with the acquisition of the winery that it had hitherto leased, along with the ownership of the 16.35ha Mount Surmon vineyard. This very substantial business in the Clare Valley produces 85% red wines, with a further focus on grenache. Kilikanoon accounts for over 35% of the region’s production of this variety. -JAMES HALLIDAY

Our cosy cellar door is housed in the property's original stone farmhouse which was built in the 1860's. Nestled in the Skilly Valley and surrounded by pretty cottage gardens, a fruit orchard, vineyards and tall gums, it is an idyllic setting for tasting through the range of award winning Kilikanoon wines. In the cooler months, enjoy the warmth and ambiance of our wood fire in Cellar Door, while in finer weather take the time to explore our grounds, picnic or simply relish in the tranquility of the Clare Valley.
