Paisley Wines

Paisley Wines is perched high on a hill at the very edge of Eden Valley in Barossa, overlooking the village of Angaston. The estate vineyard is planted to 20-year-old Shiraz and 3-year-old Mataro and Fiano. Paisley is also home to a flock of friendly sheep, an alpaca, chooks, guinea fowl and cats. Owners Derek and Kirsten started making their styles of wine in 2016 after a long time working for others and have used their passion for music, art and great wine when making each range.

Paisley is named for Kirsten’s great-great grandfather’s hometown of Paisley in Scotland. The town’s history with weaving and the iconic paisley pattern have become an intrinsic part of the brand with the beautiful Fabric range labels and names including the Silk Shiraz and Cashmere Riesling. Derek’s love of techno music pushed a musical bent, so the Mixed by DJ Deadly Boombox Shiraz and Turntable GMS feature loudly.

Not only do Derek and Kirsten love to make fantastic Barossa wines, but it’s also their passion share knowledge of all things wine related, the Barossa and its place in Australian winemaking history with guests. Book one of the Private Vineyard Experiences and walk through the vines of the Town Block to soak in the views of the Barossa floor. Uncover what goes into producing outstanding grapes each year and learn how vintage conditions affect the final product. Sit and relax at the Sunset Block while enjoying the wine made from the vineyard you visited and soak in the views.
