The Kalleske family has been growing and selling grapes on a mixed farming property at Greenock for over 140 years. Sixth-generation Troy Kalleske, with brother Tony, established the winery and created the Kalleske label in '99. The vineyard is planted mainly to shiraz (31ha) and grenache (7ha), with smaller amounts of chenin blanc, semillon, viognier, cabernet sauvignon, mataro, durif, petit verdot, tempranillo and zinfandel. The vines vary in age, with the oldest dating back to 1875. All are grown biodynamically. Exports to all major markets. -JAMES HALLIDAY

Kalleske is a family owned winery and vineyard located near the village of Greenock that produces top-quality, estate grown, hand crafted and certified organic and biodynamic wines of individuality and excellence. The Kalleske family have been sustainably farming and growing grapes since 1853 and after six generations of growing grapes, winemaker and seventh generation family member, Troy Kalleske, together with his brother Tony, established the Kalleske winery and made the first 'Kalleske' wine.
Kalleske Cellar Door is located on Murray St in Greenock offering the full range of Kalleske award winning organic wines for tasting, as well as regional produce platters, tasting experiences plus private tastings and winery tours. Wines from Kalleske have been seven generations in the making, but they are certainly worth the wait!
