Our Review
Miles from Nowhere is one of the 2 wineries owned by Franklin and Heather Tate. Franklin returned to Margaret River in 2007 after working with his parents establishing Evans & Tate from 1987 to 2005. The Miles from Nowhere name comes from the journey Franklin’s ancestors made over 100 years ago from Eastern Europe to Australia: upon their arrival, they felt they had travelled ‘miles from nowhere’. The plantings include petit verdot, chardonnay, shiraz, sauvignon blanc, semillon, viognier, cabernet sauvignon and merlot, spread over 2 vineyards planted over 20 years ago.
