Our Review
Ross and Jeannine Ashton planted sauvignon blanc in 1996, on their 8ha property, surrounded by groves and avenues of poplars, cork oaks, deciduous trees, conifers, olives and eucalypts; a small frog-filled dam overlooks the vineyard. The quirky name comes from the fact that when vine rootlings are planted, they are devoid of any soil around their roots and are in a dormant phase. -JAMES HALLIDAY
