Cré

Victoria | Yarra Valley

Our Review

Cré was started in ’18 by JonJo McEvoy, Oliver Johns and Angus Hean. The name is Gaelic for clay, a reference to the soils beneath their Dixons Creek vineyard. Two-thirds of production is homegrown, the remainder sourced from vineyards in the Dixons Creek valley and Woori Yallock in the Upper Yarra. Varieties employed include chardonnay, riesling, pinot noir, savagnin, sauvignon blanc, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot and petit verdot. All wines all fermented with indigenous yeasts. The cellar door shares a home with the winemakers' second (and also very natural) label, Fin.
