Our Review
Pierrepoint was established by Andrew and Jennifer Lacey on the foothills of Mt Pierrepoint, at an elevation of 200m. The predominantly red buckshot soils of the vineyard are derived from ancient volcanic basalt, rich in minerals. Two hectares each of pinot noir and pinot gris and 1.5ha of chardonnay are planted on an ideal north-facing slope. Owen Latta took over the winemaking from the ’21 vintage. -JAMES HALLIDAY
