Bryan and Joy Ellis own this family business, daughter Raylene Flanagan is the sales manager, and all 7 of its vineyard blocks are named after family members. For the first 10 years the Ellises were content to sell the grapes to a range of distinguished producers. However, since then a growing portion of the crop has been vinified. -JAMES HALLIDAY
