Our Review

Established in ’93 by Justin and Julie Ardill. Justin hand made the first vintage in ’94 on the verandah of the heritage-listed Reillys Cottage – built in 1856 by Irish shoemaker Hugh Reilly – which today serves as their cellar door and restaurant. Justin continues to use the same traditional winemaking techniques of prolonged open fermentation, hand plunging and barrel maturation. The wines are made from estate vineyards (the oldest planted in 1919). -JAMES HALLIDAY

Housed in a circa 1856 heritage-listed cottage, Reillys Cellar Door and Restaurant offers unique wine and food experiences with cosy wood fires and friendly country hospitality. Offering seated wine tastings from our premium range plus wine sales. Cheese platters available Tuesday and Wednesday. Our new cellar door, Reillys II Greenock, is now open in Greenock, Barossa Valley. Open Thurs to Mon, 11–4.30.

Enjoy our gourmet á la carte seasonal lunch menu, or indulge in our outstanding 5-course Long Lunch Indulgence Experience (available Sat–Sun 12–1.30, bookings required) all perfectly complemented by our estate-grown wines served from our Enomatic wine dispensers. 5-course Long Lunch Indulgence Experience: Place yourself in the hands of our experienced chefs and allow them to guide you through the culinary tastes of the Mintaro and Clare Valley region. There is no set menu for our Long Lunch, as the journey changes weekly to ensure seasonal and local produce is at its finest. You will enjoy 5 courses, carefully paired with Reillys premium wine flights, celebrating the exquisite sensory bond between food and wine. Bookings are required. We suggest you allow 2–3 hours to truly relax and enjoy this experience. The cost of your long lunch is redeemable off a dozen premium wines purchased on the day.

Reillys has four heritage B&B cottages, each offering rustic country-style accommodation along with today's luxuries. Located behind our Cellar Door on Hill St, they are a short stroll from all of Mintaro's attractions and the perfect base from which to explore the beautiful Clare Valley. Whether it be a celebration with friends or a romantic getaway, there is a cottage that is perfect for your requirements. Minimum two nights' stay.

Generous cooked and continental breakfast provisions will be waiting in your room upon arrival including bread, bacon, eggs, fresh seasonal vegetables and fruits, cereals, milk, Nespresso coffee machine with pods, tea, and juices. Quiet, secluded location nestled amongst our Cabernet vineyards.
