Our Review
Z Wine is the partnership of sisters Janelle and Kristen Zerk, whose heritage dates back five generations at the Zerk Vineyard in Lyndoch. Vineyard resources include growers that supply old-vine shiraz, old bush-vine grenache and High Eden riesling. Both women have completed degrees at the University of Adelaide (Janelle winemaking and Kristen wine marketing). Janelle also has vintage experience in Puligny Montrachet, Tuscany and Sonoma Valley. Wines are released under the Z Wine, Rustica and Section 3146 labels. Z Wine's cellar door is in the main street of Tanunda. Exports to the US, Singapore, NZ, Taiwan, Hong Kong and China. -JAMES HALLIDAY

Janelle and Kristen Zerk are fifth generation Barossans and are the only sister duo in the Barossa Valley who produce, own and operate their business. Their wines can proudly stand alongside many well-known wines – recently winning third to Penfold’s Grange in the 2018 WINESTATE International Shiraz Challenge and topping the Barossa Valley Grenache entries in the recent 2018 James Halliday national Grenache Challenge. Awarded as a 5 Star Halliday-rated winery we have five different labels and over 20 highly awarded wines are available to explore.
