Our Review
With 4 generations of grape-growing under their belts, the Pfeiffer family estate was purchased by Martin and Sally Pfeiffer in the early 1980s while Martin ran the Penfolds vineyards. They gradually planted Kalimna 3C cuttings from the famous ‘Grange’ vineyards and bottled their first wine from the ’97 vintage. Whistler Wines launched with brothers Martin and Chris at the helm. The next generation, brothers Josh and Sam Pfeiffer, came on board in ’13, introducing new wine styles and sustainable vineyard practices. Today, Martin and Sally have retired and Sam runs the ship with Michael J Corbett in charge of the winemaking, striking a nice balance of traditional Barossan styles and contemporary new-wave regional vibrancy. -DAVE BROOKES

Information
We look forward to hosting you at our family-friendly Cellar Door. Even during these COVID restricted times, we don’t take any bookings for groups under 12 people. We run our tastings indoors only, on a first come, first serve basis. We have 4 tasting tables and can accommodate groups of up to 8 people. If you’re looking to enjoy our outdoor setting, this is also run on a first come, first serve basis. Once you’ve checked in with our staff, you can settle in with a wine and something from our ‘build your own’ platter offering. Our outdoor tables can accommodate groups of up to 12 people. We encourage groups to BYO picnic-style chairs on the weekends or for our events when we’re at our busiest.
