Kurtz Family Vineyards

South Australia | Barossa Valley

Our Review

The Kurtz family vineyard is at Light Pass. It has 9ha of shiraz, the remainder planted to chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon, semillon, sauvignon blanc, petit verdot, grenache, mataro and malbec. Steve Kurtz has followed in the footsteps of his great-grandfather Ben Kurtz, who first grew grapes at Light Pass in the '30s. During a career working first at Saltram and then at Foster’s until '06, Steve gained invaluable experience from Nigel Dolan, Caroline Dunn and John Glaetzer, among others. Exports to the US, Germany and Malaysia. -JAMES HALLIDAY
