Our Review
Established in '97 as a collaboration with James and Jackie Hahn, who retired in '10, this is a brand of sibling winemakers Rolf Binder and Christa Deans, alongside sister labels Magpie Estate and formerly also Rolf Binder Wines. Rolf remains involved in the winemaking; he has also extended distribution internationally. Exclusively devoted to red wines, the range celebrates the traditional varieties of shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and merlot. Tom White of Curator Wine Co has been winemaker at JJ Hahn since ’22; he will purchase the brand in ’23. -JAMES HALLIDAY
