Deisen

South Australia | Barossa Valley

Our Review

Deisen once again proves the old adage that nothing succeeds like success. In the first year, 3.5 tonnes of grapes produced five barrels of Shiraz and two of Grenache. Since that time, production has grown slowly but steadily. The number of wines made and the tiny quantities of some (20 dozen is not uncommon) are staggering. The style of all the wines is remarkably similar: sweet and luscious fruit; soft, ripe tannins; and a warmth from the alcohol (toned down in recent releases). Exports to the US. -JAMES HALLIDAY
