Our Review
Artisans of Barossa is a group of winemakers that share a like-minded approach to winemaking and enjoyment of wine. They are Hobbs of Barossa Ranges, Schwarz Wine Company, John Duval Wines, Sons of Eden, Spinifex Wines, Chaffey Bros. Wine Co., Lienert Vineyards and Purple Hands. Each is highly successful in its own business, but relishes the opportunity of coming together to build on their collective winemaking skills and experience, knowledge of the vineyard landscape, and their connections through the local wine community. The Artisans wines are made from grapes grown in the Barossa Valley, the Eden Valley, or both. Exports to Malaysia, Singapore and the UK. -JAMES HALLIDAY

Artisans of Barossa is located less than an hour from Adelaide CBD on the northern edge of the township of Tanunda. Nowhere else can you discover the breadth and depth of Barossa wine expression that you’ll find there. Over 100 wines from eight of the region’s best small, independent family owned winemakers in one place. Presented through a range of tastings designed to take you on a personal journey of discovery in Barossa wine. Tastings start from $10 per head. Essen Restaurant offers an ever changing menu reflecting subtle changes in seasonal produce availability. (Check website for latest opening hours.) Open 7 days a week from 8am, Delikatessen & Store offers relaxed all-day eats and drinks in the heart of Barossa. Artisan wines by the glass and bottle aside, this is also the home of our other passion – great coffee! Take a seat in the store, on the terrace or on the lawn and enjoy some of the best vineyard views Barossa has to offer. If you’re on the run, take away is also an option. The Store is stocked with Artisan wine and an abundance of great produce sourced from Barossa. A place to browse and shop for great local artisan wine and food.
