Cobb's Hill Estate

South Australia | Adelaide Hills

Our Review

This Adelaide Hills property (established by Sally and Roger Cook) takes its name from Cobb & Co, which used it as a staging post in the 1800s. The Cooks raised Angus cattle and grew cherries on the property before adding vines. Three original vineyards (totalling 10ha) were planted to sauvignon blanc, chardonnay and riesling. The property was acquired by Nigel Vinecombe in ’16, who also purchased the neighbouring Greenleaf Vineyard, thereby adding 6ha of pinot noir, chardonnay and pinot gris. Since the purchase, another 15ha of vines on the original property have been planted to shiraz, pinot noir, pinot gris, pinot meunier, chardonnay and riesling. -JAMES HALLIDAY
