Risky Business Wines

The name Risky Business is decidedly tongue-in-cheek because the partnership headed by Rob Quenby has neatly side-stepped any semblance of risk. The grapes come from vineyards in Great Southern and Margaret River in WA and King Valley in Vic, the latter added in ’18 for prosecco, pinot grigio and sangiovese. Since the batches of wine are small, the partnership is able to select grapes specifically suited to the wine style and price. So there is no capital tied up in vineyards, nor in a winery – the wines are contract-made. -JAMES HALLIDAY
