Based in the suburbs of Newcastle, Fourth Wave Wine was founded in '09 by Nicholas and Frances Crampton, boasting wine industry nous; finance and IT skills respectively. Assisted by winemaker and consultant, Corey Ryan, Fourth Wave makes wine in 6 countries with the wines packaged under a panoply of brands. A modern-day global negoçiant, if you will. While savvy marketing is key to their success, the intrinsic qualities of many of the wines cannot be denied. -NED GOODWIN MW
