Monak Wine Co

Monak Wine Co is a relatively new addition to the Murray Darling wine scene but the woman behind it has been making wine in the region for more than 25 years. Owner and winemaker Cindy Heley works with local winegrowers and also grows 'hard-to-source varieties'. Her passion lies in the soil and the people of the Murray Darling and she is a strong advocate for highlighting its untapped potential, especially with alternative varieties that thrive in the region’s warm, dry conditions. Production is focused on small-batch winemaking; the first vintage in ’20 crushed just 20t of grapes. -JENI PORT
